Thomas M. (Marty) Franklin

Education: Cum laude graduate of Birmingham-­‐Southern College with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree, majoring in Accounting.

Work Experience: Since 2007, President and CEO of Med-­‐South, Inc., a diverse healthcare concern providing durable medical equipment, sleep disorder diagnostic services, and PET diagnostic testing to over 35,000 patients across Alabama. Before that, financial executive in the long term acute hospital, assisted living and skilled nursing industry. Began career with a large local CPA firm right out of college.

Community Involvement: Very active coaching and organizing various youth sports teams and leagues over the past several years.

Accomplishments/Achievements: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Other memberships held: Active member of Alabama Durable Medical Equipment Association (ADMEA).

Family/Personal Interests: Proud father of three fine young men, Adam, Will and Matt Franklin. Married to Christian Franklin, Medical Staff Coordinator at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Avid reader, love the beach, sailing and fishing.
