Paula McCaleb
Executive Director


Experience and Responsibilities: Ms. McCaleb serves as the Executive Director of the Alabama Board of Home Medical Equipment. Her background includes eighteen years experience as a professional regulator; five years prior experience in state-wide trade associations; and founder of Leadership Alliance, a professional board management firm, in 2004. As President of Leadership Alliance, Ms. McCaleb represents six licensing programs for the State of Alabama. These clients include: The Board of Court Reporting, The Board of Examiners in Marriage and Family Therapy, The Board of Respiratory Therapy, The Private Investigation Board, The Licensure Board for Interpreters and Transliterators, and The Home Medical Equipment Board. Paula has been featured in RSVP Magazine’s “The List” for her professional accomplishments. As Executive Director, Paula’s responsibilities include managing the home medical equipment licensure program to ensure the Board’s mission and goals are adhered to for the optimal relief of consumers of home medical equipment services in Alabama as provided in the Board’s enabling statute.

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree from Troy University Montgomery.

Personal Interests: College football, oil painting, needlepoint, dogs, and reading.
